Martha Fern Singleton Wilson, 62, of Chetopa, Kansas, died at 3:02 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2008, at the Oswego Community Hospital in Oswego, Kansas. She had been in failing health.
She was born May 1, 1945, in Deepwater, Missouri, to George Edward and Fern (Noble) Singleton. She grew up and attended schools in Missouri and Wisconsin.
She and Gerry Mitchell Wilson were married April 18, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. They later divorced.
She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was an avid reader. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Clinton, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Kay Singleton Bethea and Yvonne Bell Singleton; and one sister-in-law, Latrice Marie Dunn Singleton.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2008, at the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa. The body has been cremated.
