Marvelle L. Ware, 85, of Altamont, died at 10:35 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2007, at her home.
She was born December 23, 1921, in rural Mound Valley, to Robert F. and Gertie (Stanley) Jones. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in the Mound Valley area.
She and Kenneth R. Ware were married May 2, 1941, in rural Altamont. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed in rural Mound Valley for over 50 years. Marvelle was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Ware, on March 18, 1999; a son, Duane Allen Ware; and a brother, Earl S. Jones.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007, at the Bible Holiness Church in Altamont. Burial will be in the Mound Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
