Mary D. Ashcraft, 79, of Parsons, died at 5:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Labette Health.
She was born September 29, 1929, in Florida, to Guy Buford and Pearl Marian Snyder. As a young girl she moved with her family to Kansas City where she grew up and attended school. In the 1940's, she moved to Parsons where she had lived since.
She and Kenneth E. Ashcraft were married October 21, 1949, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death April 20, 1998.
She enjoyed crafts, attending flea markets, playing bingo, fishing and animals. In past years, she attended the Church of the Nazarene in Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
