Mary Delores "Lola" Braden, 80, of Parsons, died at her home Friday, November 16, 2007.

She was born April 8, 1927, in Parsons, to Jose M. and Gomenza (Marez) Perez.

She grew up and attended St. Patrick's Elementary School and graduated from Parsons High School. Through the years she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, Tempter Bakery, Broadway Cafeteria and the Labette County Medical Center.

She and Paul Braden were married in Oswego, Kansas. He preceded her in death August 4, 1986.

She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and VOZ.

She was preceded in death by one brother, A. J. Perez; two sisters, Manuel's six year old twin sister, Margaret, and Frances Fuentez, and a stepdaughter.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic Church Renovation Fund. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
