Mary Catherine "Kitty" Daley, 89, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Parsons, Kansas, died at 5:25 a.m., July 8, 2009, at Villa St. Francis Care Facility, in Olathe, where she had resided since June 2006.
She was born December 19, 1919, to Henry and Esther (Stapleton) Altepeter in Parsons, Kansas.
Through the years, she worked at several banks, and during WWII, Kitty even ventured to work for Bank of America in San Diego, California for a brief time. She retired from the First National Bank in Parsons in December 1978 as head teller.
Following retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Charities, and enjoyed many trips around the country visiting family and friends.
Kitty was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons and a lifelong member of Daughters of Isabella.
She and John Edgar Daley were married June 10, 1946, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. The couple resided in Parsons most of their lives until moving to Overland Park, in October 2004, to be near family.

Four Great-Grandchildren – Bailey, Abigail, Kevin & Madison Boyce
Numerous Nieces & Nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Henry Allison, Robert Allison and Joseph Allison.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2009, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
