Mary K. Kress

Mary K. Kress, 62, of Parsons, passed away at 12:59 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Labette Health.

She was born March 29, 1955 in Oswego, Kansas to Leroy Estel and Pauline Panzy (Finley) Leuty. She grew up in Chetopa and Parsons where she attended schools. She and Terryl D. Kress were married October 20, 1972. Following marriage, they lived in Emporia for a time before moving to Parsons where she had lived since. The couple later divorced.

Mary was a Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and decorating.

Survivors include:

Two Daughters – Kimberly Martinez of Parsons, KS

Robyn Williams and her husband, Cory of Fairfax, VA

Four Grandchildren – Rylee Williams, Khaner Martinez, Aiden Martinez, and Charlotte Williams

Two Brothers – Bill Leuty and his wife, Patsy, of Erie, KS

Melvin Leuty of Parsons, KS

Two Sisters – Betty Platter of Phoenix, AZ

Joan Murphy and her husband, Pat, of Parsons, KS

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Gena Tastove and Patty Wallis.

Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time, on Friday, at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene.
