Mary G. Kuffler Marvin, 85, of Parsons, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Elm Haven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
She was born December 3, 1929 in St. Paul, Kansas to William Franklin and Dora Ethel (Hentzen) Holding. As a young girl, she grew up in St. Paul where she lived on the "Big Island" and later attended East High School in Parsons.
She and Robert L. Marvin were married January 8, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. Following marriage, the couple made their home in Parsons and the surrounding area. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2003.
Mary worked at Elm Haven East Nursing Home for 24 years as a cook, certified nurse assistance, and in housekeeping. She was a Methodist. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, sewing, gardening, playing bingo, and volunteering at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

One Sister – Billie Keeling Parsons, KS
Special Nephews – Verneil Keeling, Terry Keeling, and Gary Keeling
Three Special Children – Akayah, Zander, and Sam
Numerous Nieces and Nephews including nephew, John Womeldorff
Two Daughters – Carol and Karen
Two Grandsons – Jack and Frank
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Kuffler; three brothers, Carl Holding, Clifford Holding, and Thomas "Tommy" Holding; and three sisters, Pauline Allison, Alta Mae Womeldorff, and Mildred Kuffler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery near St. Paul at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
