Mary E. Mariott

Mary E. Mariott, 85, of Chetopa, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016 at Chetopa Manor.

Mary was born in Fowler, Colorado on February 8, 1931 a daughter of Andrew G. Schindler and Kazia T. (Johnson) Schindler. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Hutchinson, Kansas and attended schools there.

She was united in marriage to Allen N. Mariott on July 13, 1949 at Johnson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2012.

Mary is survived by her loving family;

Three sons, Richard Mariott (Leeanne) of Citrus Heights, California; Donald Mariott of Nixa, Missouri; Kenneth Mariott of Joplin, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia (Doug) Saathoff of Citrus Heights, California; Fifteen grandchildren, Amy, Tina, Melissa, Donna, Chasity, Donnie, Trista, Allen, Mary, Susan, Danny, Jessica, Kathie, David and Lacey; 32 great-grandchildren, as well as one sister, Maxine Watson, of Miami, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m., until service time on Friday.

Burial will follow the service at the Oak Hill Cemetery at Chetopa, Kansas.
