Mary Patricia "Pat" Journot, 76, of Parsons, passed away Friday afternoon, August 19, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Columbus.
She was born August 24, 1939 in Parsons, Kansas to Carl and Helen (Prendeville) Stueber. As a young girl, she grew up in Parsons where she attended St. Mary's Elementary School and was a 1957 graduate of St. Patrick's High School.
After high school, Pat worked as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell and later attended Parsons Junior College.
On July 11, 1959, she and Arley J. Journot were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parsons. Through the years, Pat also worked at Class LTD and in the cafeteria at Parsons Middle School.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and its Altar Society. For many years she volunteered and assisted with funeral dinners at the church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading, and flower gardening.

One Daughter – Michelle Saye and her husband, Quintin Dennis, KS
Thirteen Grandchildren – Brice Journot, Samantha Journot, Melissa Journot, Kimberly Journot, Aaron Journot, Lauren Journot, Caleb Journot, Justin Journot, Scott Journot, Emily Journot, Devin Saye, Jacob Saye, and Cole Saye
Four Great-Grandchildren – Aliyana, Genevieve, Caedrin and Parker
One Brother – Theodore "Ted" Stueber Parsons, KS
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stan Stueber.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the rosary in the Parish Hall at the church.
