Mary Ann Redman

Mary Ann Redman, 93, of Parsons, passed away at 5:20 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Oswego Health and Rehab.

Mary Ann Lassen was born on November 10, 1929, to Homer and Edith (Lyles) Lassen in Parsons. A lifelong resident of Parsons, Mary Ann grew up with her two brothers and attended Parsons public schools.

After raising her children, Mary Ann worked as a floor supervisor for Fred Ronald's Clothing Manufacturer.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cooking. She also enjoyed watching the birds and animals that would visit her yard. She would spend hours watching the rabbits eat the carrots she put out for them. In earlier years, she and her husband, Dale, travelled frequently to Las Vegas for entertainment, and in more recent years, the couple made weekly trips to local casinos.

On May 25, 1946, Mary Ann and Ralph "Dale" Redman were united in marriage. The couple celebrated 69 years of marriage before Dale's passing on August 14, 2015.

Three daughters – Edith Boss of Pleasant Hill, California

Connie Smith and her husband, Larry, of Parsons, Kansas

Kathy Hardman and her husband, Terry, of Parsons, Kansas

Five grandchildren

Eleven great-grandchildren

Eight great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; and two brothers, Jimmy Lassen and Sonny Lassen.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
