Mary L Samson

Mary L. Samson, 60, of Parsons, died at 4:15 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Parsons. She had been in failing health.

She was born November 1, 1946, in Chanute, Kansas to Howard Lee and Edna Sabina (McGowan) Lucke. She grew up and attended schools in Chanute and Erie. Following graduation from high school, she lived in various towns in Kansas including Chanute for several years.

On November 7, 1970, she and Peter Ronald Samson were married in Chanute. He survives of the home.

She worked as a CNA and CMA. She and her husband had owned and operated a plumbing business for several years. In 1998, they moved to Parsons where they had resided since. She loved music, dancing and cooking. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bobby Lucke; and two sisters, Virginia Lucke and Patricia Lucke.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
