Melissa Faye Mckinney

Melissa Faye (Shue) McKinney, age 47, of Powhatan Va., passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 after a brief illness.

Beyond a long, successful career, Melissa was best known as a devoted wife and mother.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Chad; one son, Nick; and one daughter, Abigail. She is also survived by her mother, Jennifer Hall; and three brothers, David, Ricky, and Roger Shue.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Shue; grandmother, Myrtle Shue; grandfather, Carl Shue; stepfather, Tom Hall; aunt, Judy Arabia; and cousin, Robbie Shue.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to CREW Network Foundation for a scholarship relating to the advancement of women in leadership. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
