Micheal Owen Bevans, 52, of St. Paul, passed away at 10:42 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Girard Medical Center.
Mike was born May 16, 1966 in Parsons, Kansas to W. O. "Wimp" Bevans and Joyce M. (Myers) Bevans. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Salida, Colorado and his family returned to Parsons when Mike was in high school. Mike attended Labette County High School in Altamont.
During high school and shortly thereafter, Mike rode bulls in the local rodeo circuit. After hanging up his chaps, Mike enjoyed raising hound dogs and coon hunting for a few years.
Mike has worked for LaForge and Budd Construction Company as a carpenter since the early 90's.
On October 23, 1999, Mike married Ginger S. Vogel in rural St. Paul. Mike and Ginger combined two families into one home. That home was always full with their six kids, friends, family and pets. Mike was fisherman who set his day by running and checking his lines. When Ginger could drag Mikey away from the river, it was typically for a family function, where he would be seen hugging everybody, posing with a funny face for a picture, swinging someone around the dance floor and showing off his latest catch.
