Milo W. Bean, 90, of Parsons, died at 12:45 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at Elm Haven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
He was born December 17, 1921, in Gross, Kansas, to Ralph M. and Bessie M. (Brown) Bean. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in the Gross and Arcadia, Kansas, areas. During World War II, he was stationed in Italy and Africa and was a bronze star recipient.
He and Louise Easter were married September 18, 1943, in Wynona, Mississippi. They moved to Parsons in 1948 where they made their home and raised their family. He worked as an engraver at Sun Graphics in Parsons for 41 years until retiring.
Through the years, Milo had built a boat, camper, hang glider, custom car and an experimental airplane. He had also held a pilot's license. He was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Parsons and enjoyed doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, Class Ltd., the VA Clinic and the American Red Cross.

Seven Grandchildren – Lori Bowman, Lonnie Bowman, Lezlie Farris, Paula Cares, Sarah Nordt, Scott Bradburn and Stacia Meek
Fifteen Great-Grandchildren
Twelve Great-Great-Grandchildren
One Sister – Donna Totman Osage City, KS
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bean, on December 24, 2007; one son, Marvin Bean, in 2010; one granddaughter, Stephanie Bean; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
