Moneta M. Kite Hanny, 96, of Parsons, died at 8:55 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor where she had resided since 1997.
She was born March 23, 1912, in Parsons, to Jake and Sylvia (Cole) Bolinger. She grew up in the Galesburg-Erie area where she was raised by her paternal grandmother, Cathrine Bolinger. She was a 1929 graduate of Erie High School.
She and Harry C. Kite were married June 12, 1933, in Girard, Kansas. He preceded her in death November 28, 1982. On May 16, 1999, she and Pat Hanny were married at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons. He preceded her in death January 9, 2002.
For over 20 years, she was employed by Stephens Women's Wear in Parsons.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons. She enjoyed playing pitch and dancing.
