Nadine Pritchard

Nadine Pritchard, 87, of Edna, passed away at 1:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Labette Health in Parsons.

She was born May 25, 1930 near Edna, Kansas to Lester and Effie (Vermillion) Blevins. She grew up and attended schools in Edna and the surrounding area, graduating from the Edna High School in 1948.  Nadine was united in marriage to George Pritchard on September 13, 1952 at the Assembly of God Parsonage in Edna.  She passed away on their 65 th anniversary.

Nadine loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed making scrapbooks for her kids and their families. She was one of the only surviving charter members of the Assembly of God Church in Edna, now known as the Cross Timbers Church there.  She had served as the church pianist there for over 70 years.

Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; two sons, Marvin and his wife, Rhonda of Rose Hill, Kansas and Duane and his wife, Joyce of Edna, Kansas; two daughters, Karen Knight and her husband Randy of Overland Park, Kansas and Brenda Pool and her husband, Aaron of Parsons; ten grandchildren, Kyle Pritchard, Rebecca Willis, Michael Maxson, Derek Pritchard, Ashley Kelsey, Meghan Knight, Mija Knight, Monica Knight, Morgan Pool and Hayden Pool; five great-grandchildren, Maguire Maxson, Monroe Maxson, Maxson Willis, Demi Pritchard and Dotti Pritchard; two brothers, Gerald Richardson and his wife, Judy of Independence, Kansas and Ron Richardson and his wife, Rhonda of Mulvane, Kansas as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and her son, Larry Ray Pritchard who passed away in 1970.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Cross Timbers Church in Edna. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery north of Edna.  The family will receive friends at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday.   Memorials are suggested to the Cross Timbers Church Building Fund and these donations may be left at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, 510 S. Wabash, Altamont, Kansas  67330.
