Nancy Rehmert

Nancy Rehmert, 67, of Parsons, passed away at 6:44 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons following a long battle with M.S.

Nancy Catherine Hett was born on June 2, 1952, to Paul Reuben and Catherine

Elizabeth (Stull) Hett in Beloit, Kansas. The family lived in Jewell and Lawrence before moving to Parsons where Nancy graduated from Parsons High School in 1970. Nancy completed her Bachelor's degree in dietetics. After becoming bed-fast, Nancy achieved her Master's degree from the University of Phoenix.

In 1972 Nancy married Mike Elliott. The couple later divorced. She and Bill Rehmert were married in 1974. They had one child, Ben Rehmert. The couple later divorced.

Nancy's working career included Brodericks, the Katy Hospital, Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, and U.S.D. 503. Nancy was a very active member in the American School and Kansas School Food Service Association. She was the National President of the Dietary Managers Association and served on their certifying board. She was also a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Survivors Include:

One Son – Ben Rehmert and his wife, Kayla, of Cherokee, Kansas

One Granddaughter – Khloie Rehmert

One Sister – Susan Moller and her husband, Roger, of LeMars, Iowa

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Hett, in 1990; and her father, Paul Hett, in 2015.

Following cremation, there will be a private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons. The family invites friends to join them for a Memorial Visitation 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Wesley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
