Nancy A. Woodward

Nancy A. Woodward, 69, of Parsons, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at her home.

Nancy Ann Cook was born on January 2, 1952, to Raymond and Mary (Wood) Cook in Oswego, Kansas. As a young girl, she grew up on the family farm off Montana Road and attended Service Valley Grade School. In 1970, she graduated from Parsons High School.

She worked at Fred Ronald Manufacturing and later at Ray Products in Parsons.

She was a member of the Parsons Elks Lodge. Her favorite activities were spending time with friends, gardening and traveling.

On July 25, 1970, she and William Woodward were united in marriage at the First Baptist Church in Parsons. The couple later divorced.

Survivors include:

Two sons: Dusty Woodward of Montana, Kansas

Wesley Woodward of Parsons, Kansas

Three grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Stephen Cook; one sister, Glenda Beeman; and longtime companion, Lowell "Shorty" Rhodes.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:00 pm., Sunday, at the funeral home.
