Nicholas R. Cruse

Nicholas R. "Nick" Cruse, 33, of Parsons, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was born December 16, 1979 in Parsons, Kansas to Kenneth R. and Pamela R. (Perez) Cruse. He grew up in Parsons and, in earlier years, had attended elementary school in Bonner Springs, Kansas. He was a 1998 graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont. Through the years, he had worked at Grandview Products and Signature Sportswear, both in Parsons, and as a caregiver for his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his children, fishing, camping, photography and being outdoors. He and Cristina "Tina" Gale were married June 29, 2010 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. In addition to his wife, survivors include: His Parents – Kenneth and Pamela Cruse Parsons, KS Two Sons – Bryce Wheatley El Dorado, KS Dorian Wallace Memphis, TN Two Daughters – Missy Shaw Coffeyville, KS Jordan Wheatley Oswego, KS One step-son Trystan Mathis Parsons, KS Two Brothers – Darron Cruse Parsons, KS Kenneth Cruse Gardner, KS He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Cruse; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Dollie Perez. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at Springhill Cemetery near Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Memorials are suggested to help defray family expenses.
