Norma L. Hines, 76, of Mound Valley, died at 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011, at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born April 23, 1934, in Mound Valley, Kansas, to Kenneth Leroy and Anna Mary (Goodnight) Beeson. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school near Mound Valley.
For 20 years, she lived in Independence, Kansas, where she worked as an Emergency Room technician for 14 years at Mercy Hospital until retiring. She returned to Mound Valley in 1999 and had lived there since. Most recently, she had worked as librarian at the Mound Valley Library and had served on the library board. She loved to read and spend time with her family and friends.

One Great-Great-Granddaughter
One Sister – Dee Kellenberger and husband, Jim Jetmore, KS
Sister-in-law – Karen Beeson Lawrence, KS
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Beeson.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont. Following cremation, the family will hold private committal services at a later date.
