Ola L. Sparks Crawford, 69, of Iola, formerly of Mound Valley, died at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2010, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at Via Christi – St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born June 8, 1941, in Atkins, Arkansas, to Jack and Bertha (Byrd) Thomas. She grew up in Southeast Kansas where she attended school.
She and Charles Sparks were married in January of 1960. After marriage, they moved to Kansas City where they lived 22 years before returning to Southeast Kansas. He preceded her in death. She and Lawrence Crawford were married in May of 2007. Following marriage, they lived in Iola. He survives of the home.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in East Bethany Cemetery.
