Ora E. Davis, 92, of Chetopa, died at 9:50 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home where she had resided the past two years.
She was born August 12, 1916, in Seneca, Missouri, to John and Cora (Mitchell) McGuirk.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Smithville, Missouri, and an honorary member of the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and dearly loved her family.
She and John Davis were married in June 1934. He preceded her in death in September 1986.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Claude McGuirk; two sisters, Alta Brown and Lorena Wilton; two sons, Jimmy and Elmer Davis; two daughters, Deloris Withrow and Cora Mobley; one grandson, Raymond Dean Davis; and one great-grandson, Christopher Brooks.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Community Bible Church.
