Orville Lee Eaton, 88, of Oswego, died at 9:50 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center in Parsons where he had resided since March 2006.
He was born March 4, 1918 in Dewey, Oklahoma to Frank and Louise (Newman) Eaton. As a child, he moved with his family to Moundville, Missouri where he grew up and attended schools.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1951, he moved to Oswego. He had worked for Kraft Foods for 32 years and was presented the Kraft jade ring for distinguished excellence in production efficiency. In 1973, he began his employment at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center. He retired in 1986 from the State of Kansas. He enjoyed sports and gardening. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oswego where he served as a deacon.
On January 8, 1939, he and Ellen Frances Brock were married in Nevada, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 11, 1998.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one great-granddaughter, Jacie Bebb.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home after 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2007.
