Patricia Ann "Pat" Myers 82, of Mound Valley, went to be with her Lord at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
She was born October 15, 1941, in Pittsburg to James and Glenna (Taylor) May. She grew up in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1959.
Her working career began as the activity director at Westbrook Nursing Home in the early 1970's. While working there, she earned the designation and position of Director of Social Services. In 1978, she took a position at Elmhaven East, where she worked until retiring 26 years later.
She was a member of Mound Valley First Baptist Church, where she was a teacher for all ages and played the piano. She loved her family the most and loved spending time with them and attending all their activities.
On August 14, 1960, Pat and Paul Myers were united in marriage at First Baptist Church in Parsons. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2012.
Survivors include:
Three sons - David Myers (Vickie) of rural Mound Valley, Kansas; Danny Myers of Mound Valley, Kansas; and Don Myers (Brenda) of St. Paul, Kansas
One daughter - Paula Bradfield (Rusty) of Mound Valley, Kansas
18 grandchildren - Chris Myers (Heather), Kelly Myers (Sarah), Brandy Habiger (Kyle), Amy Vu (Joseph), Mindy Robinett (Brian), Ryan Myers (Stephanie), Ashlee Vines (Ashley), Robert Steeby (Ariel), Kara Myers (Jacob), Sara Eden (Josh), Ashley Myers, Darcey Clubine (T.C.), Garrett Ruark, Gage Ruark, Brittney Deegan, Riley Bradfield (Samantha), Taylor Bradfield (Jack), and Roper Bradfield
34 great- grandchildren - Stetson (Lyndsey), Kyndal, Lily, Lyla, Madysyn, Karlee, Brayden, Kyle (Taylor), Kylie, Kelsey, Emery, Silas, Anna, Nehemiah. Kolby, Shelby, Shaelyn, Trayen, Hadlee, Madelyn, Hunter, Tristan, Chance, Lane, Johnna, Cassidy, Caleb, Raquel, Emerie, Codie, Reed, Rowdy, Tessa, and Berklie
Five great-great grandchildren - Wyatt, Abram, Evie, Asha Teague, and Delaney Jo
Three brothers-in-law - Gail Myers of Ozark, Missouri; Larry Myers (Judy) of Altamont, Kansas; and John Myers (Patti) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
One sister-in-law - Betty Gittins (Elmer) of Altamont, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson, Joshua Myers.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Mound Valley First Baptist Church in Mound Valley. Burial will follow at Mound Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8;00 p.m., Monday, at the church.
