Patricia S. Hunt, 63, of Parsons, died at 9:07 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born May 3, 1947, in Parsons, Kansas, to John Oliver and Maybelle (Journot) Walker. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons.
While living in Washington State from 1975 through 1994, she especially enjoyed spending time in Snoqualmie Falls. In 1995, she returned to Parsons where she had lived since. Through the years she worked as a nurse's aide in various nursing homes.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crocheting, spending time with her dogs and caring for people.
She and Melvin V. Hunt, Jr. were married. He preceded her in death.

One Son – Melvin V. Hunt, III and wife, Heather Springfield, MO
One Grandson – Walker Guss-Hunt
Two Brothers – John O. Walker and wife, Hilde Lawton, OK James Walker and wife, Teresa Oswego, KS
Three Sisters – Cheryl Dade and husband, Larry Schell City, MO
Lee Ann Driggs and husband, Gerald El Dorado Springs, MO
Jeannie Gassen and husband, Randy El Dorado Springs, MO
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Walker; and one sister, Mary Kay Walker.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Private committal services will be held by the family at a future date.
