Patricia Ann "Patsy" Waugh

Patricia Ann "Patsy" Waugh, 81, of rural Edna, passed away at 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at her home.

She was born March 24, 1937 in rural Bartlett, Kansas to Merlin James and Hazel Irene (Ohles) Lewis.  As a young girl, she grew up in the rural Bartlett area where she attended school.  Patsy later attended Labette County Community High School in Altamont where she graduated in 1955.

She and Jimmy Dean Waugh were married July 15, 1955.  Following marriage, the couple lived in Edna while they were converting the historical Rose Hill School into their new home.

Patsy had recently been baptized in the Christian faith.  She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, traveling, cooking, and baking.  She especially enjoyed traveling to the mountains and spending time at Grand Lake.

One Daughter – Tonya Zwahlen and her husband, Mike, of Oswego, KS

Son-in-law – Dale Frost of Bernice, OK

Eleven Grandchildren – Bridget Brown (Frank), Jimmy Waugh (Racey), Cody Frost (April), Mindy Gardner (Zach), René Bero (Josh), Jody Zwahlen (Jessica), Jimmy Zwahlen (Deja), Shandi Morey (Kyle), Fr. Jarrod Waugh, Bailey Kuhlman (Alex), and Dylan Waugh

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, James DeWayne Waugh; and one daughter, Lori Frost, on December 8, 2014.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Edna Elm Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call at their convenience at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont from 2-8:00 p.m., on Thursday.
