Patricia K. Ringle, 69, of Parsons, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born February 18, 1944 at rural McCune, Kansas to Albert and Lucille (Kennedy) Lahey. She grew up and attended grade school in the McCune area until moving with her family to Topeka, Kansas where she attended high school and graduated from Topeka High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Ervin J. Ringle on June 7, 1963 at Miami, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they lived in various cities while her husband worked for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad. In 1979, they returned to Parsons where they have lived since then. She enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. She also enjoyed taking care of other people. She had raised Poodles and Yorkies for several years and recently had also enjoyed volunteering at the local animal shelter. She also enjoyed being involved in her children's lives and had served as a Girl Scout leader in the past. She had also enjoyed watching her grandchildren. Survivors include: Her husband, Ervin, of the home; two daughters, Ronda Good and her husband, Mike of Altamont, Kansas and Regina Cares and her husband, Rene of rural Parsons; four grandchildren, Heath Hilderbrand and his companion Hillary Swanwick, Alan Good and his wife, Virginia, Tricia Cares and Tyler Cares one great-grandson, George Good; one brother, Mike Lahey and his wife, Jane of Parsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ella York, who passed away July 5, 2013; and one granddaughter, Haley Hilderbrand, who passed away August 18, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Mother of God Catholic Church in Oswego. Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery at Parsons. The Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 8:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to The 506 Foundation, Inc. for the Haley Hilderbrand Scholarship Fund or to the Mother of God Catholic Church.
