Patricia Jo "Trisha" York, 40, of McCune, died at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2011, in the Emergency Room at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. Her death was unexpected.
She was born September 5, 1970, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to William J. "Bill" and Lana (Mallott) Sanders. She was a 1988 graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont. Prior to marriage, she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons.
On September 19, 1992, she and Mike York were married in Miami, Oklahoma. Following marriage, they lived in McCune where they made their home and raised their family. She served as City Clerk for the City of McCune from February 1997 to May 2003.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, counted cross-stitch, arts and crafts and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Riley York of the home
Two Stepdaughters – Jessica York Parsons, KS
Vanessa York Parsons, KS
Two Grandchildren – Rainn Groomer and Isabel Workman
One Brother – Travis Sanders Tulsa, OK
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at Monmouth Cemetery near McCune. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
