He was born February 8, 1948, in Labette County, Kansas, to John and Grace (Cleannan) OBrien.
He lived in Parsons his entire life and worked as a self-employed painter. He enjoyed sports and reading.
Through the years, he had lived with his dear friends, the Heiskell's.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
