Paul J. Bogner, 82, of rural Parsons, died at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul.
He was born October 8, 1928, in Mt. Hope, Kansas, to John and Rosalia (Grassl) Bogner. He grew up and attended school in the Andale area and was a 1946 graduate of Andale High School.
He and Roberta H. Orth were married October 21, 1950 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Andale. They continued to live in the Andale area until moving north of Parsons in 1971 where he farmed and raised cattle.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons and the Knights of Columbus. Throughout his lifetime, he had served on numerous boards and committees. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Bogner, on February 27, 1994; eight brothers and two sisters.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons where the family will receive friends immediately following the rosary.
