Paul F. Madl, 55, of St. Paul, died at 11:55 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2006 at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul where he had resided since February of this year.

He was born May 5, 1951 in Walnut, Kansas to John Cyril and Erville Corrine (Allen) Madl. He grew up and attended school in the Walnut and St. Paul areas. He worked for the MKT railroad as a machinist and mechanic while living in Parsons and then later the Union Pacific railroad in Ft. Worth, Texas. He retired in 1992 due to ill health.

He married Loretta Westhoff in 1974. They later divorced. He enjoyed restoring cars, deer hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bow hunter. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Adam Madl.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at St. Francis Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
