Pauline P. Leuty, 82, died at 2:43 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2006 at her home in Parsons. She had been in failing health.

She was born May 10, 1924 in Chetopa to Walter and Roxie (Rice) Finley. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Chetopa.

She and Leroy Leuty were married September 11, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death November 7, 1987.

Following marriage, they lived in Chetopa for several years before moving to Parsons in 1959. Through the years, she had worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, Social and Rehabilitation Services and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing and knitting. She was baptized and a member of the First Christian Church in Chetopa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Gena Tastove; four sisters, Velma Anderson, Maxine Davis, Reta Rupert and Lydia McDaniels; two brothers, Earl Finley and Albert Finley and four grandchildren.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
