Penny Lynn Stone, 52, of Erie, formerly of Parsons, died at 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Labette Health following a brief illness.
She was born March 28, 1958, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Marvin Leon and Roma Joan (Hubbard) Stone.
She grew up in Arkansas City until moving to Parsons in 1969 where she resided at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center. In May of 2000, she moved to community housing and, in August of 2008, Penny moved to Erie where she had lived since.
She loved to write letters and enjoyed shopping, playing computer games, going to casinos and visiting with her friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
