Preston Ray Patton, 25, of Parsons, died Sunday evening August 16, 2015 in Parsons, Kansas.

He was born May 14, 1990 in Parsons to Jeffrey M. Patton and Monique S. (Metcalf) Patton. He grew up in Parsons and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Parsons Middle School, Mound Valley Elementary School, Labette County High School and Parsons High School. After high school, he attended the Labette Community College and the Pittsburg State University. He was a member of the National Honor Society in college. He was a student ambassador at Labette Community College. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and had earned several scholarships at Pittsburg State University.
Preston enjoyed music and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed antiques, in particular, military antiques. Preston was a very artistic and innovative person. He also enjoyed camping and canoeing.

He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather, Raymond Metcalf and Paternal Grandfather, Dale Patton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Riley Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
