Ralph L. Misener, 83, of Parsons, died at 3:10 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.
He was born October 18, 1928, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Ira Earl and Zella (Detwiler) Misener. As a young boy, he grew up in Nevada, Missouri, where he attended school. While serving in the United States Army, he was stationed in Germany.
On August 12, 1950, he and Dorothy Williams were married in Bentonville, Arkansas. The couple lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and western Kansas before settling in Parsons where they raised their family.
For many years, he worked for Meadow Gold in Parsons until the plant closed. He then worked for Dayton Superior as a truck driver until retiring.
He was an active member of the Church of the Brethren where he served in various capacities and also coached girls' softball teams. He was a current member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Parsons. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and a good game of golf with his brother, Earl. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a great sense of humor.

Numerous Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Misener; one sister, Anita Murphy; and one granddaughter, Trisha Linn Ewing.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, at the funeral home.
