Ralph "Dale" Redman, 88, of Parsons, died at 7:18 p.m., Friday August 14, 2015 in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.
He was born May 15, 1927, in Parsons to Ralph Willard Redman and Dora Irene (Burlingame) Redman. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons. After graduating from High School, he joined the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, Mr. Redman returned to Parsons. He began working for Kansas Power and Light Company. He retired from Western Resources as a supervisor with over thirty years of service.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, traveling, and going to casinos. He also enjoyed fishing and made his own hand tied flies.
He and Mary Ann Lassen were married on May 25, 1946 in
Labette City. She survives.
In addition, Mr. Redman is survived by three daughters;
Edith Boss Concord, California
Connie Smith and her husband Larry Parsons, Kansas
Kathy Hardman and her husband Terry Parsons, Kansas
Five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson
Two brothers – Jack Redman Hutchinson, Kansas
Ivan Redman Okanagon, Washington
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald.
There will be memorial visitation from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
