Randy A. Erb

Randy A. Erb, 67, of Chetopa, passed away the evening of Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Labette Health.

Randy Alan Erb was born on September 29, 1957, to Robert and Barbra (Granet) Erb in Allegan, Michigan.

On January 13, 1984, Randy and Teresa L. Barker were united in marriage in Watonga, Oklahoma.  The couple moved to Labette County in March 1984.  Prior to that, Randy had worked as an over the road truck driver.  From 1986 to 1997, he worked for the City of Oswego.  From 1997 until becoming disabled in 2011, Randy was an equipment operator for Labette County.

Randy loved raising cattle, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He was an animal lover and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino.

Survivors include:

His wife – Teresa, of the home

Two sons – Doug Erb and his wife, Patricia, of Muskegon, Michigan

Ryan Fletcher and his wife, Lindsey, of Traverse City, Michigan

One daughter – Olivia Hilkie and her husband, Jeff, of St. Charles, Missouri

Three grandchildren – Luke Erb, Chloe Erb, and Karson Erb

One brother – Paul Erb of Scotts, Michigan

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Cremation is under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa.  No service has been planned at this time.
