Richard D. "Gonzo" Sublett, 36, of Parsons, died at his home in Columbus, Kansas early Thurday morning, December 27, 2012. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
He was born at Stillwater, Oklahoma on May 30, 1976 to Ronald and Donna (Johnson) Sublett. He grew up and attended school in various areas before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma with his family.
He moved to Parsons two years ago where he worked for Walmart as a maintenance worker. He enjoyed cars and being with his little girl, Tabitha. He also enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars and skulls. He also enjoyed making people laugh.
He was married to Pamela C. Rogers on August 26, 2001 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Tabitha Sublett, of the home and one brother, Chris Sublett of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Congregational Church, 400 N. Ninth St., Independence, Kansas. The Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
