Richard H. Stull, 85, of Altamont, died at 9:35 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Presbyterian Manor in Parsons where he had resided since 2003.
He was born March 2, 1921 in Wichita to Harry Sylvester and Mabel Alice (Palmer) Stull. As a young boy, he moved to Salina with his family where he grew up and attended schools. Following high school graduation, he moved back to Wichita where he worked for Beech Aircraft before joining the Army Air Corps during World War II. After his discharge from the service, he began his employment with the Santa Fe Railroad in Wichita and later Amtrack in Newton as a ticket agent. He retired at the age of 60 and moved to Altamont in 1989.
He and Edith Virginia Hurst were married September 1, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas. She survives.
He was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed pencil drawing, fly tying and fishing, and leather work. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Altamont, Kansas Longhaulers Campers Club in Wichita and the Transportation Communications International Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one grandson.
Following cremation, a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2007 at the Altamont United Methodist Church in Altamont, Kansas.
