Robert L. "Bob" Triebel

Robert L. "Bob" Triebel, 85, of Edna, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at his home.  He had been in failing health.

Robert Lee Triebel was born September 4, 1936 in rural Edna, Kansas, to Mary Louise (Evans) and Leo Harold Triebel. He grew up and attended schools in Edna, graduating from the Edna High School in 1954, and then attended Pittsburg State College.  He worked at the Farmland Refinery in Coffeyville as a pipefitter, retiring after 35 years. He farmed and raised livestock throughout his life.  His hobbies included fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  He most recently attended Elm Christian church.

He was first married to Joan Anderson in 1957, they later divorced.  He then married Norma (Hoppock) Mann in 1973, she preceded him in death in 2007. He married Shirley J. (Brown) Kimrey on February 14, 2015.  She survives of the home.

He is also survived by three daughters Holli Thompson (Jack) of Altamont, Lori Clines (Andy) of Edna, and Karin Dressler (William) of Edna, a son, Bill Triebel of Texas,       10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, a brother Vernie Triebel (Kathy) of Bartlesville OK, and a sister, Judy Manley of Grove OK.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Triebel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Edna with Pastor Allan Banzet officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery at Edna.  The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, from 6 to 8 pm at the church
