Robert Eugene "Bobby" Cochran, 74 of Chanute, died at 9:40 a.m., Friday April 6, 2007, at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.
He was born August 23, 1932, in Benton, Kansas, to Leonard Thompson Cochran, Sr. and Cecil Lou (Tallman) Cochran. As a young boy, he grew up in Benton. He later lived in Winfield and Chanute.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leonard T. Cochran, Jr.; and two sisters, Inez Murty and Beverly Byerly.
Following cremation, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
