October 15, 1961 — July 21, 2008

Robert G. "Rob" Carson, 46, of Parsons, died in a drowning accident, Monday evening, July 21, 2008, near South Mound, Kansas.

He was born October 15, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Louis Eugene and Macy Ann (O'Bryan) Carson.

As a young child, he moved to California where he grew up and attended schools. He was a graduate of Santa Clara High School in Santa Clara, California. He lived in California until 1999 at which time he moved to Parsons where he had lived since. For a time, he worked at Flesh Company and had been employed at Grandview Products since 2004.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 – 1984. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed swimming. He especially enjoyed chatting with friends on the internet.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1993.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
