Robert D. Daniels

Robert D. Daniels, 68, of Parsons, passed away at 3:51 p.m., Monday May 11, 2020, at his home.

Robert Dale Daniels was born on February 2, 1952, to Ralph E. and Maxine W. (Jones) Daniels in Parsons. A lifelong Parsonian, Robert grew up and attended school in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School.

He worked various places in Parsons and served in the Army Reserves for six years. In 2008, Robert retired from Grandview Products after working there for 15 years.

One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. In earlier years, he enjoyed bowling. Other interests included demolition derbies, drag races and watching sports, especially, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals and KU basketball.

On March 12, 1977, Robert and Dianna L. Franklin were married at the First Christian Church in Erie. She survives of the home.

One step-daughter – Sherrie Britton of Parsons, Kansas

One sister – Shirley Chaney of Parsons, Kansas

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Daniels; his father, Ralph E. Daniels; his mother and step-father, Charles and Maxine Kramer; and two brothers.

There will be a graveside service 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to sign the register and view Mr. Daniels from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
