Roberta L. Plummer, 75, of Chetopa, died at 3:51 a.m., Sunday, March 30, 2008, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born February 9, 1933, in rural Craig County, Oklahoma, to Louis and Elizabeth (Melitor) Baunhofer. She grew up in the Russell Creek area attending country elementary schools and later Chetopa High School. She worked at Lee Manufacturing for 20 years and especially enjoyed being a mother and homemaker.
She and Jerry L. Plummer were married May 31, 1951, in Chetopa. He preceded her in death August 23, 2003.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Chetopa.

One Son - Danny Plummer and his wife, Eve Girard, KS
One Daughter – Beth Johnson and her husband, Mark Oswego, KS
Two Grandchildren
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Emma Jo Johnson, October 17, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery, rural Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
