Roberta Wilson, 72, of Wichita, formerly of Parsons, died at 4:16 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at the Via Christi – St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born January 10, 1941, in rural Labette County, Kansas, to Rollie James and Myrtle Gladys (Tunget) Carson. She grew up and attended schools in Labette County and was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont. She then attended Parsons Junior College.
She and Albert Wilson were married March 3, 1962, at the First Baptist Church in Parsons. Following marriage, they moved to Coronado, California, while her husband was serving in the military. Following his discharge, the family moved to Wichita where they have lived since 1968.
She loved spending time with her family and visiting with children. She also enjoyed reading and sewing.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Carson; and one daughter, Wanda Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Parsons Foursquare Church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons to sign the register on Wednesday until 8:00 p.m.
