Rodney D. "Rocky" Johnson, 54, of Parsons, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at his home. He had been in failing health; however, his death was unexpected.
He was born June 3, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ralph H. and Dorothy A. (Yahnke) Johnson. Growing up, he lived in Des Moines, Iowa, Dunning, Nebraska, Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Kearney, Nebraska. He was a graduate of Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Florida.
He and Debra Anderson were married July 20, 1972 in Dunedin, Florida. They later divorced. Following marriage, he lived in Valdosta, Georgia, Houston, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, Phoenix, Arizona and Wichita, Kansas, prior to moving to Parsons.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the funeral home.
