Ronal Harry "Ron" Tridle, 74, of McCune, died at 4:43 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011, at his home. He had been in failing health the past year.
He was born February 15, 1937 to Harry David and Naomi Ruth (Grandle) Tridle in McCune, Kansas. He grew up and attended school in McCune and was a 1954 graduate of McCune High School.
On June 8, 1963 he married Sharon Prichard in Scammon, Kansas. The couple had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this year. Following marriage, they lived in Topeka, Kansas for a short time before returning to McCune where they have lived since.
He served in the Army Reserves from 1958 to 1962 while working for Frito Construction and Kansas Mobile Homes. In 1966, he began his 23-year career as a machinist for the M-K-T Railroad in Parsons. In 1989, he was employed by the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center where he worked until retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed rebuilding old cars, woodworking, gardening and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Tridle in 1991 and Naomi Tridle in 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons with private interment at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
