Ronald J.J. Mcginnis

Ronald J.J. McGinnis, 77, of Chetopa, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home. He had been in his usual health and death was not expected.

He was born July 10, 1940 in Odessa, Texas to Harold Pete and Anita Verilla (Faulkner) McGinnis.  As a young boy, he moved with his family to Seminole, Oklahoma where he attended school and was a 1958 graduate of Seminole High School.

Through the years, he worked as a sheet metal mechanic for McDonnell-Douglas in Tulsa and Boeing in Wichita.

He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include:

One Son – Rodney McGinnis, of the home

One Daughter – Robin Jones of Wayzata, MN

Two Grandchildren – Michelle Collins and R.J. McGinnis

Six Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery near Bartlett under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
