Ronald R. "Ron" Walty, 61, of Parsons, died at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2006, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He had been in failing health.
He was born January 6, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up and attended schools in Arlington, Kansas. He had lived in the Parsons and Southeast Kansas area for the past 20 years where he had worked as a roofer in commercial metal roofing. His hobbies included building and riding motorcycles, fishing, playing cards and horseshoes.
On May 14, 1999 he married Patricia Gamblian. She survives of the home.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2006.
