Rosalie C. Harris, 52, of Parsons, died at 1:25 p.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Labette Health. She had been in failing health for several months.

She was born July 28, 1959 at Kansas City, Missouri to Calvin C. and Rose M. (Stuteville) Burch. She grew up and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri and Parsons, Kansas. She had lived in various cities in Missouri and Oklahoma until moving to Parsons in 1996. She had most recently worked at Grandview Products for seven years before retiring due to ill health.

She loved scuba diving at Beaver Lake, collecting dolls, camping and four wheeling. She also loved being with her grandchildren.

She and Frank Harris were married on June 11, 1977 in Parsons. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include two sons, Frank Harris and his wife, Joanie of Fall River, KS and Calvin Harris and his wife, Ashley of Parsons; one daughter, Brea Harris of the home; six grandchildren; two brothers, Calvin Burch of Kansas City, Missouri and James Burch of Parsons; three sisters, Nancy Burch of Kansas City, Kansas, Mary Rowland of Webb City, Missouri and JoAnn Burch of Joplin, Missouri. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday. Rosalie will be cremated following the funeral service and her ashes will be interred at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Relay for Life and these may be left at or mailed to the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
